Dr. Victor Abbey is a strategic corporate leadership and change management Consultant, Mentor, Public Speaker, and Author with in-depth knowledge, understanding, and experience in diverse corporate operational environments and perspectives (including Security, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas industries, etc.) spanning over 20 years.
A distinguished veteran military leader, with revered professional interest and focus in building the leadership capacity of individuals and organizations on the African continent.
He is known for his mentorship and coaching of many business leaders (both young and old) on good corporate governance and strategic leadership across the continent through his Weekly “Leadership 360” TV programme (a LIVE and interactive leadership strategy and change management education TV programme).
Dr. Abbey is the author of the book “V.U.C.A World and the Future of Corporate Strategy and Leadership”, published and launched in 2021, and described by many as a Masterpiece and a corporate strategic leadership toolkit.
Dr. Abbey holds a Doctorate degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Applied Business Research (MABR), and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the SBS Swiss Business School, Zurich-Switzerland, an Executive MBA from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, and a degree in Archaeology and Philosophy from the University of Ghana, Certificate in Project Management from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), Certificate in Leadership and Crisis Management from the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) – Geneva, Switzerland, and numerous Certificates from United Nations Institute of Training and Research (UNITAR), Switzerland, including Fundamentals of Corporate Governance, Leadership and Team Management in Peace Operations, Fundamentals of Banking, Cross-Cultural Negotiation in Trade & Finance, etc. He is also a certified Trainer of Trainers and Specialist in Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) management from both Kansai-Kenshu Centre (KKC, Osaka-Japan) and International Training Centre of the ILO, Turin-Italy.
Dr. Victor Abbey is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance (CILG) USA & Ghana, and a Member of the Institute of Directors (IoD) Ghana.
Recipient of three (3) United Nations Distinguished Peacekeeping Medals from Cote D’Ivoire, Liberia & DR Congo (2004, 2006 & 2011 respectively) having led Ghanaian military personnel on peacekeeping assignments, and as a member of United Nations Military Observers; African Achievers Award for Leadership Excellence in Corporate Leadership & Enterprise in London (2022); Leaders Beyond Border Honors for Excellence in Leadership and Business Strategies in Dubai (2022); The New Africa Global Honors as an Inductee into the 100 Iconic African Leaders Hall of Fame (2022) in Ghana; and 2022 Humanitarian Awards Global, recognized as among 100 Iconic Change Makers in Ghana & Africa. He is also a recipient of The Business Executive Magazine’s Leadership Award in Philanthropy; and HIVE Africa Global Leaders Award for Excellence – 2024.
